Alien Plants in Nature

Animation

Inspired by German biologist Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms in Nature), the plants with fantastical shapes and textures in this animation were generated with computer algorithms. Built and rendered in Blender and Houdini.
